As the traditional basketball season is coming to a close over the next 3 to 4 weeks, some of our Jr. Eagles players are expressing interest in continuing to play during the spring & summer. If we have enough interest at a grade level we traditionally have offered a Jr. Eagles team to participate in the CNR Spring session. Games would start the weekend of April 10th with the final weekend of games being May 10th. There is a tournament the weekend of May 16-17 that coaches may elect to play in to wrap up their spring session. Not all of our Jr. Eagles coaches from the winter session are available to coach during the spring. If you are interested / available to help coach a team during the spring we could likely use your help. There will be a question on the registration form where you can let us know of your willingness / availability to coach. Teams will have the ability to practice Monday – Thursday at either Frontier Middle School or Liberty High School. It will be up to the coaches to determine if teams practice 1x or 2x per week during the spring. For our athletes who are also playing a traditional spring sport, it’s completely acceptable to prioritze your spring sport over basketball during this session. You’ll just need to communicate to your coach as to your child’s availability so we are sure to have all games covered. It’s always our goal to accommodate any child interested in playing. The coaches of the respective teams will ultimately determine the best way to construct their rosters. While we traditionally have accommodated larger rosters (10 to 12 players per team) during the spring, realizing players will have more conflicts with practices / games, there may be a need to host a player evaluation / tryout. Once we see how many players are interested in playing we’ll let everyone know if a tryout is necessary. CLICK THIS LINK TO PRE-REGISTER for the spring session. We will ultimately send you to a TEAMSNAP registration link, but we need to understand if we can offer a team at your child’s grade level before forwarding you to TEAMSNAP. IMPORTANT – This registration is only for the Spring. We will have another registration form sent for those interested in playing on a Jr. Eagles team during the Summer (June & July).
